Misa High Society Collection Nail Polish Pictures & Swatches

Hi friends. Today I have Misa's winter collection, "High Society" to show you! This collection is full of super gorgeous, deep colored polishes!

First is Uptown Glamour, which is a deep, multifaceted eggplant shimmer. So pretty and rich, this color bears a resemblance to OPI's Every Month Is Oktoberfest.  The formula was superb:

Then we have It Girl, a deep maroon creme polish. Vampy and sophisticated all rolled into one, this polish applied beautifully with just 2 layers:

Next is the greyish purple beauty, Well Heeled Grey. Very reminiscent of Chanel Paradoxal, but with a fantastic formula and the ease of simply being able to go to Misa's website and order it whenever you please: (2 layers)

Then there's Trust Fund, a deep dark sage creme.  I cannot stress how much I love this dark neutral- it's so pretty and rich (pun intended).  (2 layers):

Then we have Bourbon On The Rocks, a whiskey color that is so glowing, it a reminds me of smoldering ashes. Deep and bright at the same time! (2 layers)

Lastly, there is the perfect medium-brown creme polish, Tailored Taupe.  Fantastic formula on this one as well, this colored brings to mind chocolate syrup. Delicious! (2 layers):

After getting the chance to try Misa (check out my recent review of their Wander Lust collection here), I can tell you that I am an instant fan. I love everything from the colors and the formulas, right down to the brushes and bottles!  Misa polishes can be found on their website, http://www.misacosmetics.com/.

Shimmer Nail Polish Review Part 1: Jennifer, Eva, Sonia, Fanny, & Alessandra

Hi there! I have some new Shimmer polishes to show you today!

First up, there's this beauty- Jennifer. This glitter polish has a clear base with a mix of light blue, gold, pink, orange and black glitters. I layered this over a pale light blue (OPI I Vant To Be A Lone Star). The black hexes make this so different....I love it!

Then there's Alessandra, a glitter mix of red and tealish green  glitters in a clear base. I love the combination of teal and red, so I layered Alessandra over Zoya Wenesday:

And then we have Fanny, a purple mix of glitters. I put this over dark purple (Sation Power To The Purple):

Next, a glitter that can be worn by itself- Eva is a burgundy wine tinted base with burgundy glitteres. 3 layers:

Lastly, this is Sonia, a delicious, girly pastel glitter mix. Shown here over a cool toned pink (Nicole by OPI "Naturally"):

Shimmer polishes never disappoint me (see my previous review here). They are consistent in quality and uniqueness, and apply beautifully. Be sure to check out Shimmer Polish's store on Etsy, where these beauties can be purchased for $12 each!

Look for my "Part 2" review of even more Shimmers later this week!

Twinsie Tuesday: Oldest Polish

I can't wrap my head around the fact that it's Tuesday again...already!  This week's Twinsie Tuesday theme is "oldest polish".  Since I've already showed you my oldest polishes (the OPI's from the amazing Wild West Collection of 1999 here, here, and here) I decided to show the oldest one that I've actually owned and held onto since I bought it, which is not terribly old. You see, if you've read my blog in the past, you would know that I was not always the polish hoarder that I am today. In the past I would GET RID OF any polish that didn't do it for me (can you even imagine?!).  Now I know better. My polish tastes do change from time to time, and when that happens, I can sometime fall in love with something that I had previously "written off".

Anyway, here is OPI's "OP-I Love This Color".  This came out with their 25th Anniversary collection back in 2006 (Fun fact: Did you know that OPI was originally started in the 80's as a dental supply company called 'Odontorium Products Inc'?).  I bought this color, and have held onto it. That is quite a feat:

"OP-I Love This Color" is a warm burgundy wine shimmer.  I haven't pulled this one out in years, but it is still such a fantastic color!

What is the oldest polish in your collection? Do you hang onto them for awhile?

Don't forget to see which oldies the other Twinsies have on their blogs today:
